Introducing Explorers Preschool Curriculum

Explorers is designed to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of preschool-aged children (3 to 5 years old). By introducing explorations throughout the year, children can dive into content areas of interest while learning the essential skills they will need in elementary school.

Explorers provide developmentally appropriate activities for the children to complete while including an element of play and discovery.

Activities include math, science, early literacy, writing/fine motor, arts, gross motor, and social-emotional. Each activity is designed to be able to be differentiated to meet the needs of each child. Also, STEM and sensory activities are built into the activities to promote curiosity and allow children to explore their world.

Special focus on the fine arts and literacy with an artist and author monthly study.

Each month there will be a separate artist and author study that children will experience. The artist study will dive into one artist’s life, styles of art, and famous masterpieces they have completed. Children will then recreate their version of a piece of their artwork. The author study will allow children to build critical thinking skills while making connections to their own lives by learning about the author’s life.
